Handelsblatt – Who Else Stood Out: Innovative and Valuable
Chris Boos, founder and CEO of Arago, is part of the People in 2017 selection of German business daily Handelsblatt. Every year, the newspaper appoints a jury which selects outstanding personalities in business, politics and the public life who made an impact on the bygone year. Boos appears in the section “innovative and valuable”, which is dedicated to entrepreneurs with successful business ideas.
Boos is described as a visionary in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), even though – or in particular because – he is almost blind. He is lauded for Arago’s expansion with offices in the Silicon Valley and in Bangalore, India. The financial means for the expansion would be available as global investment company KKR supported the Arago with 50 million Euros and holds the majority of shares. In addition, the deployments of Arago’s AI technology HIRO™ to Swiss bank UBS and industrial enterprise Klöckner are featured successes.
The section further mentions Hakan Koc, founder of Auto 1, Delivery Hero founder Niklas Östberg and Daniel Wiegand, founder of Lilium Aviation.
